 Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of legal acts on the coat of arms in certain unrecognized states. Striving for «independence», unrecognized states (regardless of the method of formation) create conditions for more complete sovereignization, «acquire» legal values that are not inferior to full-fledged subjects of the international community, create their own symbols, thereby showing a willingness to share the values of international law. The authors come to the following conclusions: first, according to external attributes and features of internal and foreign policy, unrecognized states do not differ from sovereign states, they strive to copy them. Second, the practice of considering the coat of arms as an «official symbol», «symbol of sovereignty», «as the basis of the constitutional system», «symbol of state unity of the peoples living on its territory, a free and legal state», etc.is carried out in order to develop the «identification», «independence» of the un-recognized state.
